Roslyn, Washington show is canceled

Posted on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

We’re driving down I-90 headed towards Spokane.  Unfortunately, our performance in Roslyn, WA (scheduled for tonight 10/8) has been canceled.  Someone very close to the Roslyn Cafe passed away earlier this week and they had to cancel us this morning……so here we come Spokane!  Our apologies to anyone that shows up for the performance this evening, but you can catch us at 2nd Look Books in Spokane on Thursday 10/9.

We spent yesterday morning doing an interview on 88.1 The Burg in Ellensburg, WA and decided to camp out in town to catch up on booking and sleep.  As the sun was going down, we rode off on the mini bike to snap some photos.  From here on out, I will refer to our motorized bike as MiniBeast!  We took a ride through the country and saw some of the most beautiful scenery.  The sun had been out since yesterday and we are soaking up as much as possible!

Later on that evening, Ammie wanted to bake a cake and of course I had no arguments.  But we were out of eggs.  So I volunteered to ride my non-motorized bike to the store to stock up.  Even though we’re still on the west coast, I couldn’t help but feel out of place as I rode my California beach cruiser down Main Street passing the John Deere shop while I’m fully equipped with headlamp and walkie talkie (something Ammie and I use to make sure we don’t get separated).  I can’t help but try to picture us rolling into town through the eyes of a local.  Anyway, we just stopped in Ritzville, WA for our first piece of pumpkin pie.  You can be sure we’ll find many more along the road…….mmmmm, pumpkin pie.

You guys look like you’re having an unforgetable time. It is so great to see someone highlighting some of the goodness in America. Most small town folks have to work twice as hard to make something happen and that shows up in their character. Keep telling the world about us!
    Thank you, Misty
